Today.

I moved desks at work today. Really liking my new spot, but I don’t know about that lamp. I might need something that shines more light around me than at me.
The wallpaper is “Henry IV” from Analog = Heavy.

I took this photo late last night as I was leaving the Big Spaceship hack day. The air was perfect, the sky amazing.
I was talking to a fellow designer at Big Spaceship this afternoon about reading habits, and was trying to sell her on Instapaper. She has a longer commute than I do, and I was surprised to hear she doesn’t read on the train. (To be fair, she does tend to get car sick when reading on the train. But still, you don’t have to have a train commute to benefit from something like Instapaper.)
I told her I’d share the last 12 articles I had added to my Instapaper so she could see the types of articles that interested me. After looking at the list, I figured it might be interesting to share it with everyone.
So here you go, the last 12 articles I’ve added to Instapaper, but haven’t necessarily read or enjoyed:
I had a great time designing a skateboard for this year’s Bordo Bello fund raiser with some other designers at Big Spaceship. Check the rest out here.
Thanks again to Veronika Burian of @typetogether for coming to @bigspaceship today to teach us all about type design.
A team was born @bigspaceship today. Welcome, y. (Yes, that’s their team name.)
UPDATE: I am now on this team.
For being a crack team of digital inventors. Its What Do You Love? campaign for Google is a metasearch tool designed to help users utilize and explore the endless possibilities of Google by inviting them to learn something new about their favorite things while interacting with Google’s broad range of services. Big Spaceship also created “The Expressive Web” for Adobe to help designers and developers maximize the capabilities of HTML5 and CSS3 to design the modern web. And Taco Finder has been called “the app I never knew I needed,” a unique compass that directs iPhone and iPod touch users to the nearest taco using GPS technology—part of its growing portfolio of creative digital intellectual property.
Honored to be on this list of The World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies from Fast Company.
